One of our many goals as an organization for children with special health care needs is to provide an opportunity for the children to connect with peers and other people in the community. We invite volunteers to come meet these children and experience the personal rewards when they play a role in enhancing the child’s gift and ability – no matter how big or how small.
Some activities that a volunteer might be asked to do are:
- Playroom
- As a monitor
- As a fundraiser coordinator
- Scheduling appointments
- Staff person to manage office and playroom during regular hours and during extended hours
- Office
- Manage an E-bay account
- Staff office
- Build data base
- Data entry
- Filing
- Assist with planning and organizing day camps and family days
- Summer Day Camp
- Camp leader
- One on one aide
- Crafts
- Swimming
- Family Fun Day
- Set up & clean up
- Coordinating program for parents
- Coordinating programs & volunteers for siblings
- Coordinating counselors for the camper (special needs child)
- One on one counselor the entire day for camper
